Adult Day Care
Adult Day Care Centers provide supervised activities and social contacts to those older adults who require more support than can be provided at a Senior Community Center. This service provides a respite for caregivers enabling them to work outside of the home or to just take a break from the daily rigors of twenty-four hour care giving.
Services such as socialization, recreation, nutrition, transportation, supervision, basic personal care, reality orientation, and self-help training can be found in the Adult Day Care Centers.
A care manager with the YCAAA must complete an assessment of the individual’s medical, physical, and emotional needs to authorize this service.
Services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on income.
Staff members of the Adult Day Care Centers are trained and qualified to work with frail, disabled elderly.
