Senior Games
Thank you to the over 500 participants, 250+ volunteers, and our wonderful sponsors for making the 2010 York County Senior Games a HUGE success!
The mission of the York County Senior Games is to promote healthy lifestyles and fitness for York County men and women age 50 and over through competitive and noncompetitive activities. The 2010 Senior Games were held June 20 through June 26. Over 500 participants joined us for a fun filled week during the 2010 York County Senior Games. This year 57 different events were featured at 19 locations in York County. New events for 2010 included Pickleball, Racquetball and Soccer Kick.
Any York County resident 50 years of age or older as of December 31, 2010 was eligible to participate. Registration fee was $6 for an unlimited amount of events. The fee for all registrations postmarked after May 28 was $8.
The Opening Ceremony was held at the Springettsbury Township Park on Sunday, June 20th at 6:00 PM. The week of events will ended with a newly designed Closing Celebration on Saturday, June 26th beginning at 3:00 PM at Central York High School.
