Rent-A-Kid

     The Rent-A-Kid Program, sponsored by the York County Area Agency on Aging, is an intergenerational program bringing senior citizens and teenagers together.  York County senior citizens, 60 years of age or older, who need help with various household chores, including lawn mowing, can contact the York County Area Agency on Aging to hire a "Kid" in their area.  The seniors are asked to reimburse the kids at $5/hour or negotiate another rate based on the job.  To hire a Rent-A-Kid or for more information call the Rent-A-Kid Coordinator at (717) 771-9103 or 1-800-632-9073.  It's best to call in advance, before the help is actually needed!
